Vice mayor inspects WIPO Shanghai Service

Shanghai's Vice Mayor Chen Qun on May 26 visited the hearing venue of the World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Shanghai Service (hereinafter referred as WIPO Shanghai Service), where he held detailed talks with the officials of WIPO.

Chen praised the progress made in the development of the WIPO Shanghai Service and said which was one of the important outcomes of cooperation between WIPO and the Shanghai municipal government.

He wished more exchanges and cooperation to be conducted by WIPO Shanghai Service and the judicial departments of Shanghai. Chen added that the relevant departments of Shanghai will continually provide strong support for the development of the WIPO Shanghai Service.

Lv Guoqiang, senior counselor of the WIPO Office in China, thanked the Shanghai government and relevant departments for their strong support and gave a talk on its development and operations.

The World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center is a neutral, international and non-profit dispute resolution institution, which provides a variety of cost-effective alternative dispute resolution services.

The WIPO Shanghai Service, established in Shanghai Free Trade Zone in 2019, conducts arbitration and mediation of foreign-related IP dispute cases in China.
