US official visits Shanghai IP Administration

Duncan Willson, the intellectual property counselor at the US embassy in China, visited the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, or SIPA, in the city of Shanghai in East China on May 18.
Rui Wenbiao, director general of SIPA, received the guest and gave a briefing on the work and functions of the administration after its institutional restructuring, as well as recent IP policies and protection work in Shanghai.
For his part, Willson talked about the work of the United States Patent and Trademark Office and he praised the achievements made in IP work in Shanghai in recent years. He expressed the hope they would further strengthen their cooperation and exchanges with SIPA.
The two sides also had an in-depth exchange of views on the IP protection of US companies in Shanghai.
