Hongkou district launches IP supervision, management station

The launch of the intellectual property (IP) supervision and management station of the Hongkou district market supervision administration was held on Jan 4 in Hongkou district in East China's Shanghai city, according to local officials.

Rui Wenbiao, the director-general of Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, or SIPA, attended the ceremony.

Rui spoke highly of the achievements of Hongkou district in IP and stressed that the district should focus on the goals of the construction and development of the North Bund area, as well as accelerate the establishment of a quality-oriented IP policy system.

Zheng Hong, deputy head of Hongkou district, talked about IP developments in the district in 2020 and the main functions of the newly established IP supervision and management station.

Experts in the field from the Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Branch, the Shanghai Research Institute of Materials, the Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, as well as from Shanghai Zongyou Network Technology Co Ltd, exchanged their views on the future of IP development in Shanghai.
