The annual water lily exhibition will be held in Chenshan Botanical Garden, Shanghai from Aug 18 to Sept 18, presenting lily lovers with an exciting array of displays and activities.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is the garden's giant 12,000-square-meter pond displaying more than 300 varieties of water lilies, the largest show of its kind in China.

There are also five different sub-exhibitions featuring displays of tropical water lilies, cold water lilies, miniature water lilies, fine water lilies and aquatic plants.

The shows integrate many elements such as crystals, water features and fountains to enhance the beauty of the flowers.

Visitors will also have the chance to participate in a range of fun activities, including a treasure hunt, VR experience and a "baby sitting on water lily leaf" activity, where children under 20 kg can try sitting on a giant victoria amazonica leaf, a giant lily leaf that can bear weights of up to 50 kg.
