Shanghai Sheshan Sofitel Hotel recently hosted a visit from touring theatre group, Mahua Fun Age Productions, which specializes in children’s vibrant, creative and fun children’s theatre. A playbill of delightful performances will be on show every week to entertain children over the summer months.

Kini's trip to the Moon

Kini's trip to the Moon is a creative play co-presented by Mahua and Culture Holic group, from South Korea. In the form of a pantomime, the play tells the story of a little fish seeking his dream of traveling to the moon in search of a golden fish scale. Giant rubber bands are used to create multiple characters from dogs, elephants, and ostrich to small boats and sailing ships.

Three little pigs

Location: Sheshan Sofitel Hotel
Suitable for: Children aged 2 to 9
Three little pigs is a classical music drama created by world famous musicians George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. Due to its sensational music, positive theme and distinctive characters, the Mahua group has added Chinese elements to the play. Traditional images of the "little pig" and "timber wolf" have been overturned to inspire children's imaginations.
Ticket information
Follow the official WeChat account of Shanghai Sheshan Sofitel Hotel "sofitelsheshan" to buy tickets for the performances. VIP booths are available at the discounted price of 900 yuan ($135) – able to seat three people. Standard seats cost 200 yuan ($30). Special souvenir gifts will be offered to every ticket purchaser.
Hotel guests checking in on Friday will receive a ticket for Mahua group's performances worth 200 yuan ($30). Those staying at the hotel over the weekends will receive two complimentary tickets.
