Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden and the local administration of culture, radio, film & TV recently set up a stone monument at the foot of Chenshan Mountain reading "Chenshan Cultural Relics", which has been listed as a cultural relic protection unit.

In the beginning of 2009, a cultural relic site was found to the south of Chenshan Mountain at Sheshan National Tourist Resort. Since then, the garden has made great efforts preserving historical cultural resources and creating areas to grow plants, as well as holding activities promoting the cause.

With an area of 207 hectares (2,070,000 square meters), Chenshan Botanical Garden has bloomed into a window for Shanghai's botanical vibrancy, innovation and culture.
