The Moon Lake Sculpture Park in Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort has launched the exhibition project "Sculpture Parks in the World", featuring delicate sculpture artworks from Japan.

Visitors will be able to see more than 50 precious artworks and 11 works of sculpture from Japan's Hakone Open-air Museum, taking on the forms of words, pictures and videos.

The cooperation between Moon Lake Sculpture Park and Hakone Open-air Museum started in 2010 when the Japanese museum launched a special exhibition to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The Moon Lake Sculpture Park then brought the exhibition to China making it possible for local residents and visitors to enjoy masterpieces by international artists.

During this year's exhibition from April 14 to July 31, artists, curators and organizers will also participate in various academic seminars to promote cultural and art exchange activities.

Hakone Open-Air Museum is Japan's first open-air museum founded in 1969 in Hakone in Ashigarashimo District, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Covering 70,000 square meters, it has collections of artworks by Picasso, Henry Moore, Taro Okamoto, Yasuo Mizui, and Churyo Sato, with more than a thousand sculptures and works of art.
