Shanghai Happy Valley recently won the "National Civilized Traveling Advanced Unit" award, the only scenic spot in Shanghai to be honored.

The event, organized by the National Tourism Administration, selected 100 organizations including 50 travel agencies, 25 hotels and 25 scenic spots, representing the highest civilized standards.

In recent years, the amusement park has made great efforts to improve its service quality especially focusing on civilized etiquette, language and image. At the same time the park introduced free Wi-Fi coverage, a WeChat account and mobile website and more rest area facilities for visitors.

During important holidays, Happy Valley made detailed safety plans and kept in contact with local government safety departments for security support. Security exercises as well as management training have added to the safety level as well.

The park paid much attention to civilization education. Slogans to remind visitors of civilized behaviors are everywhere in the park.

The civilization award has improved Shanghai Happy Valley's brand image and popularity. In the future, the park will build the best tourist resort complex in Eastern China based on a growing entertainment business of cultural performances, a theme park, and a theme hotel.
