Shanghai Happy Valley and the Playa Maya Water Park, developed by Shanghai OCT Enterprise Co, brought in 3 million visitors in the past year and have won the "2015 Shanghai most popular scenic spots" award.

Shanghai OCT adopts a market-oriented philosophy and has developed its distinctive "four-wheel drive" mode featuring popular rides, festival activities, entertainment shows and quality services, to provide personalized and diversified tourism experiences for visitors.

In the past year, Shanghai OCT constantly upgraded its tourism products. Shanghai Happy Valley added a theme area called "Cyclone Bay", with brand new rides, a 4D film experience center, and various restaurants and stores. Park lighting has been improved to offer a better experience of night activities. The Playa Maya Water Park optimized its shading and slip-resistant system, as well as its underwater landscaping, and has brought in income of over 100 million yuan in just two operating months.

In 2015, Shanghai OCT strived to build thematic festivals to give visitors multiple experiences. In June, a 66-day summer holiday carnival kicked off at Cyclone Bay in Happy Valley. The international Magic Festival during the National Day holiday produced an outstanding magic show. Ghost-themed activities amazed everyone with all kinds of thriller elements on Halloween. In addition, the Playa Maya Water Park launched an interactive show and a kissing contest that have been well received.

Over the years, Shanghai OCT has developed a multiple entertainment system including theatre, parades, traveling and festival performances. The large magic show "Door of Fantasy", the romantic flower parades and the vivid street performances all left visitors deeply impressed.

While hosting various entertainment events and providing associated services, Shanghai OCT also focused on safety development. The company made detailed safety plans before every holiday, and kept in contact with local government safety departments for security support. Security exercises as well as management training added to the safety level at both scenic spots, which were accident-free last year.

In 2016, Shanghai OCT will start a new round of rapid development. Happy Valley will launch live-action performances in summer, and the Playa Maya Water Park will bring in the latest entertainment rides from abroad to combine thrills and fun for all ages. A new theme hotel is also under construction.

In the future, Shanghai OCT will take further advantage of the abundant natural resources of Sheshan National Tourist Resort. It plans to build the best tourist resort complex in Eastern China based on a growing entertainment business of cultural performances, a theme park, and a theme hotel.
