Recently, more than 80 students from Shanghai enjoyed a nature exploration adventure in Chenshan Botanical Garden. Regardless of the weather, students carried telescopes to have an unforgettable intimate contact with nature.

The event was co-organized with Green Box, an environmental charity organization.

During the class hosted by Zhu Qiong, a teacher from Zhuanqiao Central Primary School in Minhang district, students gave themselves a lively natural name, such as Sunflower, or Dandelion. Through interactive games and onsite observations, they easily learned to recognize brown shrike, spotted doves and other birds' habits quickly.

Fan Chunxia, a teacher from Changning Primary Vocational and Technical School delivered a lecture on flowers, which provided guidance for flower recognition.

In the outdoor group learning, guided by the science popularization teachers from Chenshan Botanical Garden, students learned how to distinguish different varieties of roses.

This is the first time for Chenshan Botanical Garden to work together with the Green Box environmental charity organization. In the future, the garden will be more active in working together with public organizations to carry out interesting science popularization activities.
