Chenshan Botanical Garden hosts science popularization spring garden party

On April 22, Chenshan Botanical Garden, the Shanghai Youth Innovation Training Base, and the Animals and Plants Workstation of East China Normal University co-hosted a large-scale science popularization spring garden party which is regarded as an ecological science popularization feast for botanical fans.

The party contains eight ecological observation topics, including transgenic plants, rare and endangered plants, the world in a drop of water, photosynthesis, medicinal plants, insects, leaves and bird watching. The organizers made the most use of Chenshan Botanical Garden's rich science popularization educational resources and deliberately designed a route for visitors which covered the entire garden.

The party fully stirred the enthusiasm of all students to participate. During the day, through interactive activities, quizes, scientific observations and other means, students got the chance to explore the magic and beauty of nature and every student expressed that their outcome was fruitful. The event was regarded as a great success.

Chenshan Botanical Garden's main theme is "Plants and Health"; so it focuses on scientific content and awareness, and provides a lovely garden landscape that integrates research, popular science, landscaping and leisure. The botanical garden opened in 2011 and was designated as a "Shanghai Popular Science Education Base" in 2013. It was also a "National Popular Science Education Base" in 2012.

The party fully stirs the enthusiasm of all students to participate.
