Blossoms in Chenshan Botanical Garden welcome visitors

Ith the days getting warmer, the opening of the second Chenshan International Orchid Show announced the arrival of spring with all kinds of flowers blooming in the garden.

Apart from the exhibition greenhouse, many types of flowers can now be seen in other areas, such as the Spring View Garden, the North-American Zone and the green theater.

Here are some of the flowers blooming in the garden:

The Tokyo Sakura, also called Zomerai Yoshino, which flowers in late March and early April, is located in the cherry blossom zone east of Gate 1. Already they have formed a sea of light pink, and will be in full blossom by the middle of April. Chenshan Botanical Garden possesses several kinds of cherry blossoms, including some with yellow and green flowers.

Violet Orychopragmus: a kind of cruciferae that flowers from mid-March to early April. They can now be appreciated in the garden of rocks and medicinal plants or beside the aquatic plants garden.

Tulips flower from late March to mid-late April. They can now be found in many corners of the garden, including the tour bus lane, the Spring View Garden, the Cherry Blossom Avenue and the Green Theater.

Malus Halliana has purple leaves and twigs. From mid-late March to early April, this kind of pink flower can be found in the Begonia Garden, which is very close to the Cherry Blossom Garden.

Peonies are to be found in the Chinese Peony Garden and the green ring road beside the Aquatic Plants Garden. In mid-April, over 100 different kinds of peonies with multiple colors will form a fantastic sight in the garden.

Apart from those mentioned, a large number of other flowers can also be seen in Chenshan Botanical Garden from early March to late April. For example, there are magnolias, narcissi, Cercis Canadensis and Rosemary. A flower appreciation trip to Chenshan Botanical Garden is definitely an ideal choice for this season.
