On March 16, Chenshan Botanical Garden held a series of activities themed "The Same Piece of Green, the Same Share of Dream" to celebrate Arbor Day. 25 families signed up for it through Weibo (micro blog) or WeChat.
The families first went to a classroom to learn about plant corsage making, and then took a short train ride around the garden. Their second stop was the gardens of the North-American zone, where they planted their own plants and decorated windows. Finally the families went to the adoption area to adopt newly-planted hawthorn trees and to have photos taken with them.
The activities received a warm welcome. Those families who missed out on signing up for them expressed their intention of making an appointments for next year’s activities.
