During Arbor Day (March, 12, 2014), Chenshan Botanical Garden held a series of activities themed "the Same Piece of Green, the Same Share of Dream".
Visitors could participate in adopting plants, planting trees, learning about plants, parent-child activities and scenery appreciation through the official Weibo (micro blog) or WeChat of the garden.
Registration information:
Participants: Five families (each up to three members, with a child between 5 and 12 years old.)
Time: The morning of March 16
Registration fee: 200 yuan ($32.5) each family (including fees for the seeds, other materials, one-year maintenance for the adopted trees, and tickets for that day)
Deadline: March 13, 2014

Contents of the event:
8:50 a.m.: Gathering at the entrance hall of gate 1;
9:00-9:30 a.m.: Scientific lecture in the classroom;
9:30-10:00 a.m.: Train ride around the park;
10:00-11:00 a.m.: Tree planting in the North-American garden
11:00-11:30 a.m.: Tree adoption procedures;
The event closes at 11:30 and participants can enjoy a free visit afterwards.
