Residents in the city have seen a steady increase in life expectancy, which reached 82.47 years in 2013, according to the city's health authority. The average life expectancy of Shanghai residents has been rising in recent years, as the 2012 figure was 82.41 years, the Shanghai Health and Family Planning Commission said on Sunday.
