Sheshan hosts mountain climbing event to celebrate New Year
On Jan 1, 2014, 5,000 Shanghai citizens gathered at Sheshan National Tourism Resort to participate in the eighth Sheshan Mountain mountain-climbing event.
The event was themed “Celebrate New Year’s and Pray for Blessings.” The organizer designed a series of fun activities to create a fun atmosphere. For example, participants wrote their New Year’s wishes on red ribbons and tied them to trees.
The organizer also provided a platform where climbers could get a bird's-eye view of the entire resort.
The event aimed to encourage citizens to pursue a healthy, harmonious and high-quality lifestyle. In the meantime, the climbers will work to promote Sheshan’s reputation as a joyous tourism destination.
