Shanxi province unveiled its regional public brand logo for Shanxi mature vinegar at an international vinegar industry chain expo in provincial capital Taiyuan on July 27.

The logo design highlights the unique regional historic and cultural characteristics of Shanxi and adopts the use of a wax seal stamp.

With a brewing history of over 3,000 years, Shanxi mature vinegar is known for its color, fragrance, mellow taste, thickness, and acidity, ranking it among China's top four most famous vinegars, and positioning it as a symbol of Shanxi's culinary culture.

Qingxu county in Taiyuan is the birthplace of Shanxi mature vinegar. It also ranks as the largest vinegar production county in China.

By the end of 2022, Qingxu had 81 vinegar enterprises, four provincial-level vinegar technology research centers, and over 200 varieties of developed products.

The county's annual vinegar output reached 800,000 metric tons, with exports to 36 countries and regions including Japan, South Korea, Europe, and America. The vinegar industry chain's annual output value in the county has reached 6.5 billion yuan (908.37 billion), creating jobs for nearly 100,000 laborers.
