Ancient City of Pingyao reopens to tourists

The Ancient City of Pingyao, Shuanglin Temple and Zhenguo Temple in Pingyao county, North China's Shanxi province, will reopen on Dec 9 due to changes in the epidemic situation, according to local authorities on Dec 7. 

Admission to the three scenic areas will be free of charge until Dec 31. 

Another Glance at Pingyao or Encore Pingyao, an experiential play, will resume on the same day, with a 20-percent discount on tickets. 

Tourists can implement real-name registration and make reservations through online platforms before going to the tourist attractions in Pingyao. 

All of the county's accommodation and catering businesses have now resumed normal operations.
