A project recommended by the Shanxi Provincial Department of Natural Resources has been awarded first prize at the 2024 Natural Resources Science and Technology Progress Awards.

The project, jointly developed by the Coal Geological Geophysical Exploration Surveying & Mapping Institute of Shanxi Province and the Shanxi Provincial Geological Prospecting Bureau, focuses on core challenges in coal mining areas, such as diverse types of ecological damage, visible and hidden issues, varying scales, and dynamic changes.

It has pioneered a multi-scale technical system for land ecological damage, providing technical support for the intelligent transformation of ecological restoration and geological disaster prevention in mining areas.

The Shanxi Provincial Department of Natural Resources will continue to deepen reforms and innovations, building a platform for the deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application, and organizing relevant research units to further enhance intelligent monitoring and precise restoration capabilities.
