The Shanxi Provincial Education Department, along with other departments, has announced a list of 28 vocational schools to develop specialized industry colleges. This initiative marks a significant step forward in Shanxi's new phase of vocational education reform, emphasizing the integration of industry and education, as well as collaborative cultivation of talent between schools and enterprises.

The 28 industry colleges will cover key sectors such as equipment manufacturing, new materials, and modern services, including projects that support the development of Shanxi's specialized towns. Over a two-year development period, these colleges are expected to closely align with regional industry demands and the growth of specialized towns. The focus will be on cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talent, advancing curriculum reform, and establishing practical training bases.

Vocational schools involved in this initiative are encouraged to strengthen organizational leadership, innovate talent cultivation models, and deepen school-enterprise cooperation. Partner enterprises are expected to increase investments in both software and hardware infrastructure and actively participate in the entire construction process of the industry colleges.

The establishment of these industry colleges is a crucial step for Shanxi to implement the national requirements for high-quality vocational education. Through a collaborative effort between government, schools, and enterprises, Shanxi seeks to create exemplary models of industry-education integration that provide strong talent support for the province's high-quality development.
