North China's Shanxi province is placing significant emphasis on developing its key industrial chains. By extending, supplementing, and strengthening them, the province aims to establish a modern industrial system.

For the new energy vehicle industry chain, Shanxi will focus on scaling up mass production to bolster vehicle manufacturing enterprises while promoting the development of key component enterprises based on the province's strong foundations in casting, forging, and the carbon industry.

In the high-end equipment manufacturing sector, Shanxi will undertake investment promotion activities, using the 2025 China Industrial Transfer and Development Matchmaking Event (Shanxi) as an opportunity to connect with advanced provinces and cities. It will implement a coordinated investment promotion strategy involving the government, leading enterprises, and industrial parks, systematically undertaking the transfer of high-end equipment manufacturing industries.

Shanxi will integrate technological and industrial innovation into the wind power equipment industry chain. The province will address key industries’ technology issues and encourage enterprises to establish technical centers and new research institutions, aiming for breakthroughs in large wind turbine units and key components.

Shanxi will optimize its industrial layout for the photovoltaic (PV) industry chain, supporting high-efficiency, low-energy-consumption PV module manufacturing projects. The province will encourage enterprises to adopt advanced production technologies and equipment, striving to develop a series of high-efficiency, intelligent PV manufacturing bases.
