Huayuan International Landport Group has optimized the operation of the China-Europe trains this year to meet the growing foreign trade demands of North China's Shanxi province. It has established a provincial-level open international railway operation platform to integrate various resources and build a new shipping pattern.

On Dec 21, a China-Europe train loaded with domestic cars arrived at the Bely Rast Station in Moscow, Russia, after traveling over 8,000 kilometers.

"This China-Europe train, departing from Changzhi, filled a gap in the operations of China-Europe trains in the southeast of Shanxi. It also marked the first time the China Railway Zhengzhou Group launched a China-Europe train in Shanxi," said Liu Guohua, general manager of Huayuan Land Port International Intermodal Transport (Shanxi) Co.

This China-Europe train hub allows "Changzhi manufacturing" to expand internationally at a low cost directly from their doorstep, significantly enhancing local companies' confidence in pursuing overseas opportunities markets.

Shanxi has established a regular service network for China-Europe trains, with support from the China Railway Taiyuan Group, Beijing Group, and Zhengzhou Group. They operate 23 routes connecting 48 major cities in 16 countries across Asia and Europe.

Statistics show that since 2017, Shanxi has operated a total of 874 China-Europe and China-Asia trains, transporting 963,500 metric tons of goods worth 13.73 billion yuan ($1.88 million). The range of exported goods has expanded from initial products like wheels, stainless steel, and solar photovoltaic components to various Shanxi special local products.

"Next year, we will strengthen cooperation with the China Railway Beijing Group and Zhengzhou Group. We will focus on cargo organization, channel construction, reform and innovation, and risk prevention and control, supporting more 'Made in Shanxi' products to go global and reach the world," Liu stated.
