The China Computing Power Platform (Shanxi) commenced trial operations on Dec 20. It has achieved functionalities such as registering computing resources, comprehensive computing power monitoring, resource matching, and analysis decision-making.

As China's first comprehensive computing power platform, the China Computing Power Platform (Shanxi) will significantly enhance Shanxi's integrated management of computing resources and resource-matching capabilities.

The platform is crucial in identifying the province's information and communication industry's computing infrastructure. It senses industry development status and trends, expands the computing market to empower the digital economy, and promotes the upgrading and innovative development of the computing industry.

Shanxi's computing infrastructures have been continuously improving in recent years with growing momentum. The province currently has computing centers with a designed rack scale of 1.01 million standard racks.

According to the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology's "China Comprehensive Computing Power Index Report (2024)", Shanxi ranks eighth in the national comprehensive computing power index, seventh in the computing power sub-index, and eighth in the environmental sub-index.
