Shanxi Provincial Tourism Development Conference to be held in Taiyuan

The 2024 Shanxi Provincial Tourism Development Conference will be held in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi province, from July 26 to 28. With the tagline "Tourism Makes Life Better", the conference will showcase the latest trends and applications in technology, equipment, products and scenarios for the tourism industry. Through a series of innovative events, it aims to promote the high-quality development of the culture and tourism industry throughout the province.

Focusing on matching supply with demand, the conference aims to revitalize the ancient city of Taiyuan and solidify its position as a popular tourist destination and travel hub by holding series matchmaking events for the culture and tourism industry, organizing various parallel culture and tourism activities and launching sustainable cultural and tourism intellectual property initiatives.

The conference will feature six main sections, namely, a work meeting, the launch ceremony for a series of matchmaking activities for the high-quality development of the cultural and tourism industry, matchmaking activities for the high-quality development of the cultural and tourism industry, a series of release events, a tourism service provider matchmaking session and various supporting events.

During the conference, Shanxi will host a provincial culture and tourism work meeting, along with a wide array of colorful events such as matchmaking sessions for industrial development and tourism service providers. Before and after the conference, additional activities will be organized, including visits by international IP companies and travel agencies to Shanxi, international tourism industry matchmaking events and poetry recitals.

To coincide with the conference, Taiyuan's six urban districts will host a food and culture consumer season event, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy local delicacies and cultural performances, including displays and exhibitions of intangible cultural heritage items.
