The newly built Shanxi Extreme Sports Center went into service for events of the 2nd National Youth Games on May 28.

The center covers over 1.3 hectares in Dayu town, Yangqu county, and is designed for skateboarding, rock climbing and freestyle bicycle motocross events.

With an investment of some 70 million yuan ($10.13 million) from Shanxi Huagui Agricultural Technology Co, the center will help train and develop extreme sports men and women, apart from providing a venue for competitions.
