Shanghai Xinzhuang Industrial Park (SHXIP) is a municipal-level industrial park established in August 1995 with the approval of Shanghai Municipal Government in its (1995) No. 28 Document.

It is located at the geographical center of Shanghai, covering an area of 17.88 square meters. With the authorization of Minhang District Government, the Management Committee of SHXIP is responsible for the park's development and construction, social affairs and administration, while Shanghai Xinzhuang Industrial Park Economy and Technology Development Co., Ltd. is responsible for the execution of investment attraction, development and construction.

With more than a decade's joint efforts made by its operator and investors, SHXIP is now a mature industrial park well set on the path of healthy development. It is considered by foreign investors as one of the best choices to settle their companies.

SHXIP is well facilitated with infrastructure, transportation, staff dormitory, and bonded logistics. Surrounding it are almost half of Shanghai's colleges, scientific research institutes and vocational education bases.

Xinzhuang boasts a land history of 4,000 years, and SHXIP is taking an environmentally friendly approach to ensure sustainable growth. It was certified to environmental management system ISO14001 in November 2001, quality management system ISO9001 in November 2002, OHSAS18001 in November 2003, and was one of the country's first industrial parks that obtained "quality, environment and health and safety" certification. With the written approval of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, SHXIP is now trying to be a national exemplary park in ecological industry.

In addition to modern manufacturing, SHXIP is actively developing headquarters economy and modern services. By attracting regional headquarters, operation centers, R&D centers, and services such as commerce and sales, intermediary and consulting, SHXIP is set to become a metropolitan industrial park where multinationals' investment, R&D and sales centers cluster.
