Shanghai Caohejing Hi-Tech Park
Shanghai Caohejing Hi-Tech Park is an economic and technological development zone approved by the State Council, with a planning area of 14.28 square kilometers and more than 3,000 hi-tech enterprises, at least 800 of them foreign-funded.
Caohejing Hi-Tech Park is located in the southwest of Shanghai, bonded on the east by Guilin road, south by Caobao road, west by Xinjinggang and north by Puhuitang. Being in close proximity to the airport, expressways, metro line, light railway, and elevated ring road systems, Caohejing Hi-Tech Park has a uniquely central location.
In close proximity to the park, are more than 20 universities and colleges, as well as some 120 research institutes, placing Caohejing the most densely talented area in Shanghai.
It leads China's other development zones in economic benefit per unit area and was approved as national demonstration bases for service outsourcing, new industrialization, biological industries and intellectual property services.
The park has kept on improving its investment environment and supporting facilities in its 30 years and has developed an industrial layout with electronic information as the pillar, while focusing on new materials, top equipment, and new energy.
In recent years, the park has established six smaller parks in Shanghai, and two more in the Yangtze River Delta, one in Haining, Zhejiang province the other in Yancheng, Jiangsu province.
