Pudong to revolutionize its medical system
Shanghai Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning has started a series of projects, including deepening the revolution of public hospital and sanitation of the community, expanding the scale of family clinics and advancing the establishment of medical institutes including National Children Medicine Center, according to a news report published on Pudong's website on Jan 15.
Lujiazui has made the establishment of the intelligent family clinics possible where intelligent devices will be used to measure blood pressure and heartbeat.
In addition, Pudong residents will have the privilege of receiving medical treatment at home and stations will be set in 36 areas to provide timely help for the local people. With this, the patients will rehabilitate or get cured at the community without travelling miles to a hospital.
Moreover, senior doctors from some major hospitals will be sent to the communities to treat the patients and improve the quality of medical treatment.
The commission also sets forth a series of new goals to enhance medical technology, which is one of the best ways to improve the quality of medical education in Pudong.
One other important policy measure is to enhance the cooperation among various medical institutes so that information can be shared among different medical fields while also improving the overall working efficiency.
In order to enhance information sharing, the community will be devoted to establishing an Internet-based platform of electrocardio, clinical image, clinical examination, and ultrasound.
