Echoing the China-Russia Years of Culture, Yantai has introduced a series of initiatives to capitalize on the recovery of international tourism, focusing on expanding the Russian inbound tourism market.
In May, Yantai will host a delegation of key Russian travel agencies to explore the city's core tourism resources. A travel trade meeting will also be held, focusing on promoting themed tour routes such as wine tourism, health resorts, and coastal leisure experiences.
To facilitate the arrival of Russian tourists, the city's cultural and tourism department is connecting with Russian inbound tour operators. The new charter flight route between Vladivostok and Yantai is expected to launch in July this year. Additionally, the Habarovsk-Yantai inbound tourist charter flights are planned to resume between July and September.
The city is also enhancing services with its new "Russian Tourist Support Network" comprised of local attractions, hotels, and cultural enterprises. The network will offer foreign language guides, menus tailored to Russian tastes, and emergency service hotlines.
A Vladivostok-Yantai inbound tourism promotion conference was held in Yantai on March 24, attended by 80 representatives from the Vladivostok tourism association, travel agencies, and media. The event showed Yantai's attractions and hotels through promotional videos and discussions, resulting in over 50 cooperation agreements with key travel agencies in Vladivostok.
