Chungcheongnam-do in South Korea hosted a tourism promotion event in Yantai, East China's Shandong province, on July 11, showcasing the region's diverse tourist attractions such as Seocheon Tidal Beach, Daecheon Seaside Resort, Wonsan Island, and Anmyeon Island.

As a central area along the western coast of South Korea, Chungcheongnam-do has maintained a friendly relationship with Shandong province since 1995 and has been a popular overseas travel destination among Yantai residents.

"Chungcheongnam-do and Yantai are both home to various marine-related tourist attractions. We hope to work together to develop the cultural tourism market as well as design and promote innovative cultural tourism products and services," said Tian Dazhong, chairman of the Yantai Cultural Tourism Industry Development Group.

During the event, strategic partnerships were established between the Chungcheongnam-do Cultural, Sports, and Tourism Bureau and the Yantai Travel Association as well as the Yantai Cultural Tourism Industry Development Group, focusing on initiatives like visitor exchanges and market development.
