Dou Cunyin, a welder from Shandong Nuclear Power Equipment Manufacturing Co Ltd, has dedicated 14 years to the nuclear power welding industry, deservedly clinching the 2024 National Labor Medal for his unwavering commitment.

Since 2008, Dou has been instrumental in welding the AP1000 nuclear-level structural modules, mechanical modules, and pipelines, maintaining a perfect qualification rate throughout.

Mastering the art of mirror welding with finesse, he boasts 16 qualifications in civil nuclear safety equipment welding operations and 22 welding certifications accredited by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Welding Society.

"I will do my utmost to further consolidate and systematize the welding experience and techniques I have mastered, helping more young welders improve their craft and supporting the development of China's nuclear power industry," he said.
