Shandong's high-quality development receives praise from media outlets worldwide

The Shandong delegation to the second session of the 14th National People's Congress held a plenary meeting on the afternoon of March 6. The meeting attracted extensive attention from both domestic and international media, with over 120 journalists from nearly 60 media outlets in attendance.
Lin Wu, deputy to the National People's Congress and Party chief of Shandong, welcomed the journalists and expressed his gratitude to all those who have been following and supporting Shandong's development. He then gave a brief introduction to the province's economic and social development.
Lin noted that Shandong has a long history, rich cultural heritage, large population, and strong economy and is an important industrial base and strategic fulcrum for economic development in northern China. By focusing on building a pioneering area for green, low-carbon and high-quality development, Shandong has been steadily progressing in various aspects, making significant headway in both economic and social development.
During the group interview, journalists from media outlets such as Xinhua News Agency, Hong Kong Commercial Daily and Information Telegraphic Agency of Russia-TASS raised questions on a range of topics, including developing new quality productive forces, strengthening high-quality development, accelerating new industrialization, developing the digital economy, expanding investment and consumption, optimizing services for the private economy, bolstering rural vitalization work, giving play to the innovative role of enterprises, and better fulfilling the new cultural mission in the new era.

The meeting lasted for over two hours and had an active and enthusiastic atmosphere. The journalists said that they had gained a lot from the event and were impressed by the spirit of Shandong's high-quality development, as well as the vigor and drive of the province's cadres and people in pursuing their goals. They believed that a more confident, pragmatic, and open Shandong is now standing before the world, and that Shandong surely has a bright future ahead of it.
According to experts, the meeting demonstrated Shandong's openness and inclusiveness, as well as its confidence in its development achievements. By engaging with the media, Shandong has further strengthened its communication with the outside world and showcased its image as a dynamic and promising province.
