Nanshan Holdings, originally established as a small factory in 1978, has become a significant player in the global arena.
In 2018, the group began to construct PT Bintan Alumina Indonesia in the country's Galang Batang Economic District. Since its involvement in Indonesia through the Belt and Road Initiative, PT Bintan Alumina Indonesia has emerged as a key contributor to local economic growth, job opportunities, and cultural connection.
Now with a workforce of 3,000 Indonesians, the group is fostering strong connections between Chinese and Indonesian communities.
Notably, an increasing number of Indonesian employees are learning the Chinese language and actively engaging with their Chinese counterparts in work and leisure activities.
Nanshan Holdings' collaborative ties with Indonesia is not only strengthening business ties but also enriching the relationship between the two nations.
In the future, low-carbon and green aluminum oxide production in line with expanded overseas cooperation will be the company's priority, said Hao Weisong, general manager of PT Bintan Alumina Indonesia, in an interview with China Daily.
