Huang-Bohai New Area in the coastal city of Yantai, East China's Shandong province, will host a grand festival to welcome the sixth Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival, which falls on Sept 23 annually.
The grand carnival will consist of a diverse array of events, such as a parent-child marathon, a Yellow River Bazaar, and art performances, which will enrich the lives of rural residents and showcase the achievements of rural development.
"Highlighting local kiwi fruit, we invited professionals to design two mascots, 'Harvest' and 'Harmony', symbolizing celebrating the harvest and promoting harmony," said Wang Jianyu, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Chaoshui town in the area.
At the Yellow River Bazaar, an exhibition featuring well-known cultural products from Huang-Bohai New Area will be held, which will showcase 18 intangible cultural heritage handicrafts from the area. Through a combination of in-person gatherings, online sales, and promotional activities, the exhibition will have distinct characteristics, rich content, and a lively atmosphere to showcase the diverse cultural landscape of the area.
