Yantai, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province, saw stable growth in its wine industry in the first half of the year, according to local authorities.
Since the beginning of this year, China's consumption market has accelerated its recovery, which has brought great opportunities to Yantai's wine industry and played a decisive role in the city's high-quality development.
In the first half of the year, more than 20 events related to wine industry were held, such as the 2023 Alcohol Innovation and Investment Conference, which was held in Haikou in Hainan province from February 21 to 24. Government officials from Yantai had face-to-face communications with diplomatic envoys from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, which offered a platform for Yantai to present its fast-developing wine industry.
Additionally, Yantai has sped up construction pace for key projects in its wine industry. The Chinese Wine National Pavilion project and phase one of the Yantai Huang-Bohai New Area International Wine City project have both started construction.
From June 16 to 18, the 13th Yantai International Wine Exposition was held in Yantai, with the exhibition area and the number of participating companies increasing significantly. The expo had also attracted many well-known wine brands and new products from home and abroad, which had brought positive effects to the integrated development of the city's wine industry.
