As of June 2022, Yantai had 204 grape wine production enterprises, 63 well-known chateaus, and over 200 related enterprises. Presently, the brand value of the city's grape wine stands at 85.9 billion yuan ($12.05 billion).

Jean Bernard, vice-president of the French Brandy Association, said that he was impressed by the evolution of Yantai. He pointed out that the city's good geographical location and pleasant climate makes it an attractive and dynamic city.

As the largest wine production base in China, Yantai has held 12 international wine expos since 2007, becoming an important platform for international exchange and cooperation in the field of grapes and wine.
