The vessel Tanais Dream, which carried more than 190 engineering vehicles, departed from Yantgai Port in East China's Shandong province to the port of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania on Feb 23.
Since the beginning of this year, cargo shipments from Yantai Port to Africa have reached 12, and more than 200,000 metric tons of products made in China have been sent to African countries.
In recent years, the port has made great efforts to promote the development of a two-way logistics channel between China and Africa. Official data shows that the delivery volume of the Chinese-African Liner at Yantai Port has witnessed a huge growth this year. Currently, Yantai Port has become the largest trade port that facilitates China-Africa trade in China, and an important part of the Belt and Road Initiative.
