A credit information system will soon be available in Yantai, Shandong province, possibly by the end of this year.

According to the plan, basic information on the individual and any dishonest behavior in the public domain, will be recorded by the system and this will influence aspects of life such as job recruitment, promotion and also commendation.

Also, the credit information of businesses and the credit information of a businesses' legal representative will also be a part of the system. When needed, the system can provide credit information and issue credit reports.

Information from all key municipal administrative bureaus will be included in the system and the first batch is going to cover 23 bureaus and sectors, including education, public security, civil affairs, banks, the municipal court and commercial bureaus.

It is expected that Yantai can build an efficient exchange to share credit information between departments, systems and platforms, within the next few years. Furthermore, the system will allow exceptionally good credit scores to be rewarded and sanctions for individuals who have been dishonest.
