Tai'an holds grain, oil industry expo
The Fourth Shandong Grain and Oil Industry Expo kicked off in Tai'an on March 16, attracting over 500 companies from across China to participate.
The expo included over 10 major events, such as a quality grain and oil exhibition, promotions and agreement signing ceremonies for grain and oil companies and their projects, as well as the finals of a pastry competition. It also included a series of sub-events.
More than 800 brands, including nationally renowned ones like Luhua, Zhongyu, and Longevity Flower, attended the expo, offering a panoramic display of their production, procurement, processing, as well as the trade integrated grain and oil industrial chain.
The expo is expecting that this edition's trade volume will exceed 7 billion yuan ($1.02 billion), setting a new record high, said Xu Zhaobing, director of the Tai'an development and reform commission.
The success of the expo will help increase companies' confidence, stabilize the market, boost economic development, and contribute to the rapid development of Tai'an's modern food industry, Xu added.
