Architizer, the renowned US-based architectural website, established the A+Awards in 2009, and they have since become one of the top four globally recognized awards in the field, often dubbed the "Oscars of Architecture."
At the 12th A+Awards event in 2024, a panel of judges selected 260 special nominees from among global entries. Among them, Yinyu Lane, located in Shinan district's Shangjieli, secured a special nomination in the Commercial - Commercial Renovation and Expansion category.
The city protection and development bureau of Shinan district attributes the award to the district's consistent adherence to the protective restoration principle in the street's development.
Yinyu Lane, now restored to its former splendor, maintains the unique cultural memory of Shangjieli. The ongoing introduction of new formats and the area's continuous renewal signify a spiritual rejuvenation, achieving a harmonious fusion of historical conservation and modern vibrancy.
