The China-SCO Technology Transfer Center, located in Shinan district, Qingdao, China, serves as a key platform supporting enterprises in global outreach and market expansion. It has assisted over 70 leading companies, leading to 3 billion yuan ($414.05 million) in digital trade services and 20 billion yuan in technology contract registration.
This year, the center launched an international business inspection service for member companies. Scheduled visits to Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus from May to August are designed to facilitate convenient and cost-effective partnerships with Belt and Road partner countries. The initiative aims to establish direct links with foreign institutions to assist Chinese enterprises in accessing technology, markets, and other resources.
As the first government-guided, market-oriented national platform, the China-SCO Technology Transfer Center emphasizes technical exchanges with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Belt and Road Initiative participating countries. Through local collaboration centers, it facilitates the connection of innovative resources and the advancement of scientific achievements.
"We offer one-stop services for companies, who need only to inform us of their needs. From technical inquiries to industrial sales, we provide comprehensive agency services. Companies can now forgo the need to establish their own specialized teams and instead quickly engage in international cooperation through our platform features," said Zhao Zhongyuan, director of the China-SCO Technology Transfer Center.
In May, the Uzbekistan inspection delegation, along with representatives from China-SCO Technology Transfer Center member companies, visited Tashkent for a five-day engagement tour. Discussions with local entities encompassed smart water systems, green building materials, and smart gas. Particularly noteworthy was the collaboration memorandum signed between leading groups in these sectors and a local building materials producer during the visit.
