With the Spring Festival approaching, the physical consumer market in Shinan district, Qingdao is booming. The stalls in the fresh meat, seafood and vegetable sections of markets are fully stocked, attracting a steady stream of customers.
"Over the past few days, the daily footfall in the market has gradually increased from an average of 12,000 people to 18,000 people, and there will be more people during the peak period after the Minor New Year. Our market currently has sufficient supply, and prices have decreased compared to last year," said an agricultural market manager in Shinan district.
Shinan's Shangjieli Block has also undergone renovations. It is the site of the second Qingdao-Shinan Spring Festival Shopping Festival, which is currently being held and will continue until March 3.
Various attractions and activities are planned for the festival, including the Zhanqiao Pier light show, Taiping Road parent-child amusement park, and immersive street dance drama. Additionally, exhibitions such as the Dunhuang Universe Digital Art Exhibition, Western Trend Art Exhibition and Flowing Light Sculpture Exhibition will be showcased in the street district.
