Shinan's 2nd Shangjieli Beer Festival concludes

The Shangjieli Beer Festival in Qingdao's Shinan district came to a successful conclusion on Aug 6, after 23 days of attracting numerous local residents and tourists.
The Zhongshan Road area recorded an average daily throughput of 320,000 visitors, with daily revenues exceeding 5 million yuan ($694,400) This represents a 400 percent increase in visitors year-on-year.
Following the festival's launch, artists delivered a range of performances. An art troupe from the Tibet autonomous region teamed up with Qingdao artists to present Me and My Motherland, using beer as a medium.
Meanwhile, 16 counties and cities in Shandong province, such as Weifang, Jining, Zibo, and Liaocheng, joined the festival via video links, sharing their love for their homeland.
Evenings on Zhongshan Road were vibrant, illuminated with lights and dotted with food stalls. Taixing Road's street market emerged as a popular late-night dining destination, featuring 63 eateries and extended hours on weekends.
On Sifang Road, Pingkang Dongli presented an open-air classic film series. Additionally, Liyuan made its theatrical debut at Huangdao Road's Jishan Liyuan, highlighting Shinan's architecture. Both events aimed to celebrate and elevate local culture.
