On July 15, Shinan district, Qingdao held the inaugural ceremony of the second Qingdao Percussion Music Fair 2023, which is a key event in the "Beautiful Bay - Pleasant 25℃ Cultural Tourism Season" campaign.

Dubbed "Summer of Jazz Drums", the fair is unfolding at the Qingdao International Percussion Performance Center, with events scheduled to run through July 21.

The Shanghai Percussion Association and Qingdao Percussion Association jointly organized the festival, with the International (Qingdao) Percussion Performance Center acting as host.

The fair is expected to stimulate the growth of percussion culture and related exchanges between Qingdao and the rest of world. Furthermore, it aims to boost the global reach and evolution of music culture while underscoring Qingdao's cultural identity as the "Island of Music".
