The Taipingjiao Park in Shinan district in Qingdao held the "Artistic Coastline" series of art events to celebrate the region's beauty on May 20.

The event featured an arrangement of 66 guzheng, a traditional Chinese stringed musical instrument, and 10 teachers and their students performing melodies such as Lady White and Longing.

An elderly band named "Old Tree Roots" and young singers from the art department of Ocean University of China also put up performances.

As a vanguard of music and culture dissemination, Shinan has been constantly looking for ways to utilize new media platforms to inspire and captivate public audiences.

The celebration will see other art events held in Tuandao Bay, Qingdao Bay, Huiquan Bay, Taiping Bay, and Fushan Bay.
