A livestreaming competition was held in Shinan district in Qingdao, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province, on March 31. More than 100 representatives from outstanding enterprises attended the event.
As short videos and livestreaming are becoming indispensable parts of Chinese people's lives, the need for talents who are good at selling goods by livestreaming and making eyeball catching short videos grows more urgent.
Shinan, which is an administrative, tourism, cultural, trade and financial center, strives to utilize livestreaming to boost its e-commerce industry. According to Dong Haibo, director of the public employment and talent service agency of Qingdao, the city values entrepreneurship and innovation very much, and the competition serves as a big move to promote the city's high-quality development.
By including such fields as sales, training and entrepreneurship, the competition was divided into six parts, awarding one first place prize, two second place prizes and three third place prizes, as well as awarding several competitors as "star streamers" and "streamers of great potential".
