Themed on tourism, a festival is scheduled to take place at the Shangjieli Block in Shinan district, Qingdao of Shandong province, from March 17 to April 2.

The activity covers four core areas including Taiping Road and Zhongshan Road to enable tourists to enjoy of the spring flowers, banquets and exhibitions in the block.

The block plans to roll out a series of activities such as a flower design competition, an art performance, a wedding dress show, and a copyright exhibition to fully highlight the charm of the block and attract more tourists.

During the festival, flower designers from around the world are expected to decorate the walls of historic urban buildings.

Dance, talk, reading, and playing performances are also scheduled to be staged.

Fashion models will be dressed in high fashion apparel to look like Gaya legends and showcase both technology and fashion. Also, a number of delicious foods will be provided.

In addition, the Green Institute, which is staging a trendy art exhibition with a green theme, plans to open to the public.

"Green represents spring, and it helps to relieve people's tress and make people calm down. This green art exhibition is the first of our planned series of color exhibitions. I hope everyone can enjoy it," said Zhao Dongbao, head of the institute.
