The 2023 Shandong Tourism Development Conference is scheduled to be held this month, and as the main venue of the event, Shinan district in Qingdao, which is located in East China's Shandong province, is fully prepared for it.

To make the district more attractive in spring, Shinan has strived to create flower gardens at the  Pier scenic spot. After cleaning up the dead flowers, Shinan has planted more than 20 new kinds of flowers, including bougainvilleas and chrysanthemums, and trimmed plants into distinctive shapes.

At the same time, stunning flowers are also being planted in such places as May Fourth Square and Marina City to promote the image of Shinan.

Shinan is also taking steps to keep the tourism market in order. There are a great number of policemen and policewomen patrolling the streets every day to eliminate problems such as illegal advertisements, littering and improper touting.

In addition to renovating ancient buildings and upgrading old facilities, Shinan is also planning to hold a spring-themed cultural event and a number of celebrations, including flower arrangement competitions and cultural performances.
