Places to celebrate Lantern Festival in Shinan

As the Lantern Festival approaches, which falls on Feb 5 this year, a number of places in Shinan have been immersed in a festive atmosphere. Here are some worth mentioning.
In the old downtown area, cultural events such as wine parties, light shows and flower exhibitions are being held for visitors. To help Qingdao residents relish in beautiful memories of Qingdao, the area will also hold activities related to folk culture, such as lantern appreciation activities.

At the Qingdao Folk Museum, a series of cultural activities such as shadow puppetry performances, folk costume shows and Sichuan Opera performances are scheduled to be held. Visitors can also guess lantern riddles and learn paper-cutting.
Themed on the 24 solar terms, a stamp exhibition, which showcases more than 100 delicate stamps with stunning landscapes of all four seasons, was opened on Jan 25 and will last until Feb 26 at the Qingdao Post and Telecommunications Museum.
To entertain children aged seven to 12, a series of activities are being held from Feb 3 to 5 at Hisense Exploration Center. Children have the chance to guess lantern riddles and develop their brainpower by participating in many other activities.
