The Shangjieli fair opened in Shinan on Jan 25 and will remain open until Feb 6. Thanks to the fair, hustle and bustle has returned to the district.

At the fair, a series of activities, including time-honored brand promotions and flower exhibitions, are being presented to create an intense festive atmosphere, which is attracting crowds of visitors and injecting new energy into the old downtown area.

According to an anonymous tourist from Hubei province, it was the first time that she had celebrated the Chinese New Year in Shinan, and she is enchanted by the warmth of the old downtown area.

At the same time, the fair has combined recreational activities and beautiful decorations to make it more appealing to visitors. Street performances incorporating modern artistic elements into traditional Chinese culture and lovely lanterns can also be seen at the fair.

As a part of the first edition of a cultural event named "Guangjieli", the fair is open from 11 am to 8 pm every day, and hopes to serve as a retreat destination for visitors and residents.
